The app sends nothing to any server

Perch reads files that Claude Code already wrote to your disk, inside ~/.claude: your prompt history, your session titles, and which processes are running. It reads them to build the list, and it writes to none of them.

The content of your conversations never leaves your computer. Perch has no server of its own, sends no telemetry, reports neither usage nor errors, and requires no account. You can verify this: the app works with Wi-Fi turned off, and your license is checked on your Mac without consulting anything.

What is collected, and only when you buy

When you buy, your email address is collected, because that is where your license key is sent and it is what makes it possible to reissue the key if you lose it. Your key contains that email address in plain text, deliberately: it records whose license it is, and it discourages publishing the key.

The payment is processed by Stripe, which receives your card and billing details directly. Perch never sees or stores card numbers. The email carrying your key is sent through Resend.

How long it is kept

The record of your purchase —email address, order identifier and date— is kept for as long as the license is valid, which for a one-time payment means indefinitely, so that you can be given support and your key can be reissued. You can request its deletion by writing to the address below; once it is deleted, your key can no longer be reissued.
